Personal Project – Instagram the World

I find it hard to get back on the computer at a decent hour to work on editing and culling the too many photos. I do find that I’m happy to sit on the couch with my tablet. Enter Instagram. Add in the nostalgic feelings for the year that Tracy and I traveled, and boom, I’ve got a new personal project.

This is a fun project for me where I cull through my archive from 11 years ago and re-process the photos using just my tablet and post them to Instagram feed and my Facebook page. I have set some pretty loose guidelines for this project.

  1. I will change country’s / locations every month.
  2. I will always start with the original image straight from the original camera (Nikon Coolpix 5700).
  3. Post images 5-7 times a week.

There are plenty of options for editing apps but I’ve settled on using Snapseed. I really like its interface, tools and wide range of results I can get from one app.

Follow my instagram feed or like the Facebook page to follow along.
